Hardware and Software Service Offerings

 

 

3.       Re-imaging of a Workstation

 

This service includes installation of standard software load ("gold disk" image) provided by the ordering agency onto the existing workstation via Ghost (or other tool as provided by the ordering agency).  This includes reconnection of the machine to the network, and reconnection to the network printers. This work will be performed by a CompTIA A+ Certified Technician with at least one Microsoft MCP certification. The work will be backed up by an MCSE who will come on-site at no additional charge if the need is determined by MediaSoft.  If the ordering agency does not have a standard image, MediaSoft can provide this with additional services.  (See "Gold Disk" creation services).

 

4.       Desktop Configuration & Installation

 

This includes: installing peripheral hardware with the desktop, such as a new monitor, mouse, keyboard or any other devices as specified by the ordering agency, installation of software image provided by the ordering agency on to the desktop via Ghost (or other tool as provided by the ordering agency). Imaging may be done at MediaSoft's configuration center or at the customer site.  This will be determined in the Scope of Work.  Service will include repacking of the desktop for shipping, delivery to site, unpacking of desktop and peripherals, connection at users desktop to the ordering agency network, final configuration to the local servers and network printers for the site.

This work will be performed by a CompTIA A+ Certified Technician with at least one Microsoft MCP certification. The work will be backed up by an MCSE who will come on-site at no additional charge if the need is determined by MediaSoft. 

 

5.       Return or Move of Equipment

 

This is for return of equipment from an agency location consisting of a:  workstation, printer, server (all other types of equipment will need to be reviewed with MediaSoft.)  This line item can be used in conjunction with Re-Imaging or Desktop Installation line items and receive the discounted prices listed.  Ordering agency may perform the installation and have contractor (MediaSoft) pick up and return old hardware to a central location or warehouse. An inventory list of machine(s) serial numbers will be provided to the ordering agency.  This work will be performed by a MediaSoft, Inc. employee.  MediaSoft is not responsible for packing materials (boxes, Styrofoam, filler, etc.). 

 

6.       Network Printer Installation

 

Service will include connection of  HP or Lexmark printer(s) to the ordering agency network server. This work will be performed by a CompTIA A+ Certified Technician with at least one Microsoft MCP certification.  The work will be backed up by an MCSE who will come on-site at no additional charge if the need is determined by MediaSoft. 

 

7.       Server Hardware & Software Configuration Services

 

This includes the assembly of the server and installation of parts; installation of all software as designated by the ordering agency including all permissions, rights, etc.  Ordering Agency may need help in troubleshooting network performance, installation of replacement parts or problem determination of software errors.  Hardware or software configuration services. This service will be performed by a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or a Novell CNE, depending on the O/S environment of the ordering agency. 

 

8.       Configuration of an NT Server or WIN 2000

 

This includes the assembly of the server from parts, installation of all software as designated by the ordering agency including all permissions, rights, etc. as specified by the ordering agency. This service will be performed by a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE/NT or MCSE 2000).
